KEMET composite trays

KEMET composite trays

Presentation

Made from a homogeneous blend of synthetic resins and bonded, hardened metal particles. The platens are designed for Kemet's advanced lapping technology, perfectly compatible with KEMETdiamond liquid.

  • Holds diamond particles firmly, ensuring repeatable material removal and surface finish.
  • Malleable qualities protect diamond particles, preventing damage to the workpiece.
  • Produced in several hardening values so that even softer material can be easily lapped with diamond particles without risk of impregnation.
  • Easy control for optimum flatness
  • Lapping/polishing platens available for all brands of lapping machines with platen diameters up to 3000 mm.
  • Dissipate heat and prevent laminar flow from lapped surfaces.
  • With cast-iron base for maximum stability.
  • Recommended when high-precision flatness and finish are required.

Kemet iron

The most widely used platen. For general-purpose material removal and honing operations.

Kemet copper

For honing softer materials where fine honing and polishing are the primary requirements.

Kemet SP2 copper

For lapping or polishing of hard and medium-hard materials

Kemet PR3

For generating a highly reflective finish. Perfect for pre-polishing with a polishing wheel to minimize the risk of spillage.

Kemet XL

Lead/tin plate replacement. For mirror polishing.

Kemet XP

Offers improved flat polished surfaces on many materials. Mirror-like surfaces can be produced on many hard materials.

Kemet tin

One of the softest Kemet platens. For mirror polishing with Kemet fine diamond liquid.
