EAGLE 3D 8800TH

Presentation

PEMTRON technology detects and takes account of the board's upward or downward deflection, to precisely measure the height of components and solder joints. The use of a single camera, 8 projectors and 2 concentric lights avoids the shadowing problems encountered with other systems. The detection assembly, comprising camera and projectors, moves in XY under the board, thanks to linear motors, for greater speed, precision and reliability.

The 3D model generated makes it possible to determine, precisely and with good repeatability, the XYZ dimensions of tabs and solder joints under the board, enabling the detection of the following faults: missing component, insertion fault, defective solder joint (too weak, excessive, bridge...)... based on standard criteria (IPC standard) or customized criteria. The 3D model corresponding to each inspected board can be saved in a database for later viewing in 3D mode.

The Windows 10 control and programming software is 100% developed by Pemtron. It is fast, highly intuitive and extremely user-friendly, enabling the user to create a program in just a few dozen minutes, by means of a learning process. Standard SPC server and client modules enable real-time trend monitoring, post-process data analysis, and export in various formats (HTML, Excel, image, etc.).

The AOI PEMTRON EAGLE 8800 TH is available in 2 resolutions (10um and 15 um), for speeds ranging from 18 to 40 cm2 per second. Card formats range from 50 x 50 mm to 510 x 510 mm. Maximum inspection height is 5.5 mm. Other options include a 1D/2D code reader, touch screen and uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

Like all PEMTRON equipment, the AOI EAGLE 8800 "Thru-Hole" component inspection system is able to dialogue and interact with a wide range of Industry 4.0-compatible electronic board production equipment, including FUJI screen-printing and component placement machines.
