Iced / hot air gun

Ice/hot air gun

Presentation

The 610 model is equipped with a temperature control knob for adjusting the cold output temperature between -40°C and 0°C.

The maximum temperature drop at the cold outlet is achieved by reducing the flow rate on the cold side, while the maximum production of frigories is obtained with a lower temperature drop.

The VORTEC 610 adjustable chilled air gun is fitted as standard with a 15H nozzle; the maximum temperature drop is therefore 59°C compared with the compressed air temperature, and consumption 425 l/min at 7 bar.

Maximum production of frigories is 378 kcal/h, i.e. the "cold" equivalent of 440 W.

As an option, the 610 gun can be fitted with a double ice air outlet.

Composition of the VORTEC 610 kit: gun fitted with a double silencer, magnetic base, outlet temperature adjustment knob, 15H and 25H nozzles, ball-jointed hose to deliver chilled air and a 5µ filter.

Advantages :

  • Increase dry machining speeds by up to 36%.
  • Extend tool life by 50%.
  • Substantial increase in production speeds
  • Eliminate heat-induced part deformation
  • Maintain tight part tolerances

Part no. 609 hot air guns are used where gentler heat is required than with electric guns.
It is ideal for preheating parts, processes and solutions, with an output rate of 2 to 8 scfm (cubic feet per minute); it is also widely used to soften adhesives, rubber and vinyl, and speed up drying.
The hot air gun requires no electricity at the target, and uses only filtered compressed air to generate temperatures of fully adjustable temperatures up to 90°.

Advantages:

  • Gentler heat than electric hot air guns to avoid burns.
  • No risk of sparks on the target.
  • Instant start and stop.
