Cold weather jacket

Cold weather jacket

Presentation

Workers subjected to extreme temperatures wear VORTEC jackets to minimize stress, heat and fatigue while improving comfort and productivity. Cool air circulates through the jacket to distribute even cooling over the upper body.

Vortec cooling tubes use filtered compressed air and vortex tube technology to generate cold air.
Inside the cooling tube, a vortex tube rotates the supplied compressed air, separating it into hot and cold air.
The cold air is conveyed to the cooling vest via a duct tube, while the warm air exits at the other end of the PAC via a hot-air silencer.
Inside the vest, cold air circulates through the vest's perforated lining, cooling both the vest and the tube.
The temperature differential of the distributed air is +/- 33° (60°F) from the compressed air inlet temperature.

Advantages :

  • Jacket can be worn under other protective clothing (PPE)
  • Easy temperature adjustment, even with gloved hands
  • Provides continuous, constant air flow
  • Vest allows full range of movement without airflow restrictions
