Sprayvectors

Sprayvectors Fogging, Atomizing and Spraying

Presentation

When compressed air escapes through this annular orifice, its velocity increases, entraining both the ambient air and the liquid.

The mist created by the supply of compressed air and liquid creates a very precise zone that can be used to cool, humidify or lubricate products.

Vortec Sprayvectors produce ultra-fine droplets for evaporative cooling, atomization, humidification and wetting.
The liquid flow is driven by compressed air at high speed to create a range of spray droplets in the micron range, enabling a larger surface area to be covered than with conventional nozzles.

Sprayvectors use the "latent heat" phenomenon for cooling applications: the fine droplets evaporate before they come into contact with the mass to be cooled.
Thanks to this more efficient use of liquid, spray nozzles accelerate the interaction between air and liquid, delivering more effective results in terms of cooling, humidification, wetting and dust control.

Air/liquid interaction and the high-speed propulsion of very fine droplets deliver high cooling power.

Features / implementation :

  • compressed air must be filtered to 5µ. Liquid-side pressure range: 0.1 to 1.4 bar.
  • liquid viscosity with humidification nozzle: up to 100 centipoise.
  • precise adjustment of liquid flow by knob: from 22 to 113 l/h.
  • high droplet projection speed with mist or atomizing nozzle.
  • low droplet speed with "humidification" nozzle.
  • compressed air consumption: 340 l/mn at 7 bar.

Advantages :

  • no moving parts or pumps, so no wear and tear.
  • instant operation, no inertia.
  • instant setting/dosing: liquid flow adjustable by knob.
  • very wide viscosity range: 1 to 1100 centipoise.
  • high spray uniformity.
  • in cooling applications, cooled products are not wetted.
  • silent operation.
  • high reliability.
