Vortex tubes are compact, lightweight and easy to install - no special skills are required.
With no moving parts, a vortex tube is highly reliable and inexpensive, and requires no electrical connection at the cooling site.
Temperature drops and refrigeration values are given at 7 bar pressure and +21°C compressed air temperature.
It should be added that if the compressed air inlet pressure is different from that recommended in the table, then the temperature drop at the cold outlet will be lower at lower pressure, and higher at higher pressure.
Each Vortex tube is adjustable by means of a throttle valve. You can vary the outlet temperature - cold or hot - as well as the desired flow rate. The maximum temperature drop at the cold outlet is achieved by reducing the flow rate on the cold side, while the maximum production of frigories is obtained with a smaller temperature drop.
Please note: do not use quick-release couplings to connect Vortex tubes to the network, and the compressed air must be dry and filtered at 5µ.
