Presentation

Boating is a passion that gives you unforgettable experiences on the world's rivers, lakes and seas. The outboard motor is one of those that can make it possible.

The outboard motor is more than just a technical specification. An efficient motor needs to be powerful, reliable and easy to use. This is what Tohatsu has been working on since it was founded in 1922 by aeronautical engineer Masuzo Takata.

Over the years, Tohatsu's innovations have changed the world: for example, the first compact Tohatsu motorcycle engine, or the first Tohatsu outboard engine with electronic fuel injection , which revolutionized environmental performance.

Some Tohatsu products

Small but strong, these motors offer best-in-class torque and 360° turning for improved manoeuvrability.

Aquamot electric outboards offer particularly high thrust in their class. The thrust of the Aquamot Trend 1.1 and 1.6 outboard motors can be compared to the thrust of 3.5 hp and 5 hp combustion engines.
