Longer service life
The Aquamot AGM Deep-Cycle Silicone battery can be charged and discharged up to 9 times longer (up to 950 cycles at 50% DOD or 750 cycles at 75% DOD and 25°C) than a conventional battery. This is the best performance on the market according to our tests and is the result of the use of lead grids with very thick mesh, paste and silicone technology developed by Aquamot.

Outstanding performance
Generally speaking, conventional batteries can only be discharged to 50% of their capacity, which means that only half their capacity can be used. Aquamot AGM Deep-Cycle batteries can be discharged up to 80% of their capacity. As a result, there's 30% more energy available in the same capacity range. As a result, all loads can be used 30% longer without external energy input.

Wide temperature operating range
Commercial batteries generally have a temperature range of -10°C to max. +40°C. Especially in summer, the temperature inside the boat can sometimes reach +60°C. Consequently, these types of batteries are not suitable for marine applications. Silicone Deep-Cycle Aquamot Longlife batteries, on the other hand, withstand temperatures of up to 65°C, and can be used in summer and on the hottest days without any particular problems.

Robust, watertight construction
Aquamot batteries are extremely robust and resistant to vibration and shock, thanks to the use of the latest ABS technology and internal construction. Because this type of battery has no liquid electrolyte, there is no danger of leakage. The electrolyte is absorbed in the fiberglass separators, so the Aquamot ALS battery can be safely handled and positioned in any position.

Maximum safety
New battery technologies sometimes overheat very easily, and in the worst-case scenario can even catch fire. AQUAMOT ALS Longlife Long-Cycle Silicone batteries are virtually flameproof, so if there's high pressure inside, there's no problem. There's a clever pressure relief valve that lets the gas escape. So you can be sure of safety.

Maintenance-free
What electric motor user hasn't experienced one of the following situations: topping up with distilled water, checking the acid level, greasing the terminals, etc.? You can forget all about it with Aquamot's maintenance-free battery technology, as the electrolyte is absorbed into the fiberglass separators and not liquid. The terminals are also screw-type. So there's no need to apply grease between terminals and lugs.

Long storage life
Very low internal resistance is achieved by using the latest materials on flat plates and clean pastes. The advantage is that storage capacity is rapidly increased thanks to the self-discharge flowing through the lower internal resistance of the ALS Aquamot battery. As a result, the self-discharge rate is less than 2% per month.

Batteries complying with American and European standards
All Aquamot Longlife Deep-Cycle AGM batteries comply with numerous European and American directives. As a result, they can be used worldwide without any problems.

To choose the right capacity for your battery bank, follow these steps:

• consider the nominal voltage! When using 12V batteries, divide the total voltage by 12. This gives you the number of batteries you need
• determine the maximum current of the load(s)
• define how long you wish to use the electrical system without recharging it
• Now you can calculate the minimum capacity:
  • multiply: CURRENT x HOURS x SAFETY FACTOR = TOTAL MINIMUM CAPACITY in AH
  • (The safety factor for conventional batteries is around 1.65 to 2.4, Aquamot ALS batteries have 1.35).
