The design of the MFS75/90/100/115 is based on that of the best-selling Tohatsu MFS40/50/60 and MFS9,9/15/20. The heritage of these top-performing and reliable
engines has been carried through to the entire MFS75/90/100/115 4-stroke outboard range, with innovative, exclusive features and an ergonomic, elegant design.

- exceptional torque achieved by a tuned exhaust system with optimized performance;
- enhanced durability and optimized weight thanks to in-depth analysis of every major component;
- superior performance achieved by performance-optimized ECU programming.
This is the first outboard engine to adopt the state-of-the-art 4-2-1 Performance Optimized Exhaust Manifold design.
- Equal-length exhaust passages on each cylinder eliminate the possibility of interference to generate the best performance throughout the rev range.
- Exhaust gases from cylinders #1 and #4 on the one hand, and #2 and #3 on the other, combine into a single passage.
- These two passages merge, generating the best exhaust flow by creating an additional intake that helps evacuate engine exhaust.
- This exclusive Tohatsu design eliminates exhaust gas interference, unlike a standard 4-to-1 exhaust manifold.
