Feathering propellers offer many advantages. The flow of water automatically turns the blades into the feathered position when the engine is switched off, making drag virtually non-existent and increasing boat speed by 15-20% depending on wind conditions. Harmful turbulence caused by the propeller disappears and rudder efficiency is increased.

Inaddition , reverse thrust is 30% to 40% more efficient than with a fixed propeller, making it equivalent to forward thrust. The result is excellent maneuverability, and safer travel and docking thanks to independent forward and reverse pitch adjustment.
